Georgian Peaks athlete Devon Knight who trains with the Alpine/Peaks Boardercross team took first place in Men's Junior Provincials last weekend.  Devon has competed in three F.I.S. Noram level events this season with strong finishes for his first season competing at F.I.S. events.  Now Devon is waiting to see if he has a spot at Nationals.  Congratulations Devon from everyone at the Peaks.

On Sunday we hosted over 100 freestyle skiers and snowboarders at our Interclub Big Air event.  It was a huge success with the sun out and music blasting in the park.  We had a number of top finishers.  Our next event is a slopestyle at Beaver Valley on Sunday and you can find complete results on facebook search interclub freestyle development league.

Georgian Peaks snowboarder Trevor Niblett finished 5^th in last weekend NorAm halfpipe event at COP!  This event qualified him for next weekend's World Cup which will be Trev's first World Cup start and the last event before the Olympic Team is selected.  If he can land another top 5 finish in halfpipe he will be a contender for the Canadian Olympic team.

RBC Jumps and Bumps Event

December 31^st is not just New Years Eve and time trials this year!  The Chimo park will be set up with a few stubbies mixed between the small features for a timed event both snowboarders and skiers can enter.  The event will be targeted to riders aged 7 to 12 but will be fun for everyone.  The entry fee is $20 with registration starting at 9am in West Lodge on the 31^st and the event will begin at 1pm in the Chimo terrain park.  All riders will need to have a park pass...

Another freestyle season is about to take off at the Peaks with the Chimo Park ready to be opened on Dec 26^th.  Anyone wanting to use the Chimo Park will need a Park Pass this season. Members can register for their Park Pass online through the Peaks website at the link below:
