After a wonderful Christmas and winter, an incredible Spring Break and a very warm and sunny Easter weekend, the Club is now closed for the 2009/10 season!
The year took a turn in August when the Tornado wiped out the Whalen Alpine Centre and much of our equipment but through a lot of hard work we were ready to go for the start of the season. When the weather finally turned cold our Snowmaking Team went to work and by the Christmas Break, we had all lifts running and the snow stayed great right...
Well it has been a truly incredible weekend so far and we hope that you all have enjoyed yourselves.
As we have communicated previously, our conditions and therefore our operating plans have been changing constantly. There is a wind warning in effect for this evening and the forecast calls for dropping temperatures and rain. Once again that may change our plans as the dawn breaks and we see what snow we have left.
Our plan is to open tomorrow with skiing on Champlain and Rogers, but as mentioned...
The Big Ski day is an annual event in support of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto, raising funds to ensure that "Every child that needs a mentor , has a mentor". Join us as we celebrate 12 years of great skiing, snowboarding, races, family activities, auctions, raffles and more- all benefitting a truly worthwhile cause.

Please read this wonderful message from Andrew Mielzynski proud father of Erin who has just been named to the Canadian Alpine Olympic Team.
Tomaz,
Could you please pass this on to the board and the members and employees at the Peaks.
I'd just like to sincerely thank everyone at the Peaks for their continued support of Erin Mielzynski. She loves her home club and is very, very proud to have her roots in such an incredible environment. She is also very proud to have developed her skills as a direct...
Dear Peaks Members,
On Wednesday afternoon, I earned my "rite of passage" (as Mealey put it) into the World Cup Stall of Fame. I say stall because I feel that that's all it will be. There's a lot of facets to this injury that are painful for me, physical being one of the last. And it's not any consolation that 4 of my teammates are going through the same thing. However, as Gloria Gaynor would say, I will survive. I will have surgery around new years in London, Ontario and with my new battle scar, I will officially be on my road to recovery.
Thank you to each and everyone for sending thoughts and best wishes. I've had strong support throughout this journey. I've had incredible support since Wednesday and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Thank you with my whole heart.
See you on the hill, well maybe the bottom, well actually the deck.
Sincerely,
Larisa
Opening Day Scheduled for December 19th
Your snowmaking team has been making snow at the Club on and off since December 5th and for the last 31 hours straight. While we have managed to pump 2.9 million gallons of water through our system the temperatures during this period have not been ideal and our production has been limited as a result.
Although a large part of Ontario is experiencing flurries and squalls today, at the Club, temperatures began to climb early and we were forced to shut down...
New Food and Beverage Outlet at the Club
If you were in attendance at the AGM last week you learned about all of the survey driven operating adjustments that your management team have been working hard on for this season. As part of our response to significant member feedback asking for new food and beverage menu options, healthier choices and greater variety we have created and installed a new venue at the Club. In association with Druxy's, Canada's premier chain of quick service delicatessen...

Although our daytime high temperatures are well above seasonal norms it is mid-November, the days are shorter and will soon cool and a new season will begin. Time for an update;
