SUN PEAKS, BC (December 14, 2009) -- The K1/K2 athletes from Georgian Peaks were lucky enough to meet Nancy Greene, Director of Skiing, Sun Peaks (and Senator!) this weekend while at their pre-season camp.

# 10 because they have bigger mountains than Ontario

# 9 because it's not Quebec

# 8 because it's only minus 25

# 7 because they don't have poutine

# 6 because you can follow the sun around the mountain

# 5 because we can ski with skier legend Nancy Greene

# 4 because we can ski over 60 different runs

# 3 because the Austrians train here

# 2 because we can watch the double header on hockey night in Canada and not fall asleep!!!! Go Leafs Go!

# 1 because the snow is outstanding

With the season quickly approaching you will want to make sure that your equipment is in good working order. Try your boots on to make sure they still fit properly. Take your skis to a shop and make sure they are tuned and that your bindings are set properly for your ability, boot size and your weight. These are things you can do to make your first day back on snow safe and more enjoyable. Now all we need is cold weather.

What a great day for Canada, Manuel Paradis-Osborne with his win in the super G, with Eric Guy in 4th and Robbie Dixon in 5th. WOW what a great start.

Also a big congratulations to our ownTyler Nella on his 41st finish in the DH at Lake Louise. This was followed by another great GP athlete Erin Mielzynski who placed 30th in Slalom in Aspen.
