Snowmaking Update - Feb 12, 2010

By Darrell Dennis - 5 months ago

We have now shut down snowmaking for the season. With a little over 91 million gallons and no thaws to speak of this season, we are comfortable with the amount of snow on our trails. The long range forecast looks cold with continuing snowfall for the remainder of February and possibly into March. This means the conditions should remain as good as they have been to date.

We have removed the snowmaking hydrants from the center line on Rogers and Minute Mile. This is always an exciting exercise for us. Rogers & Minute Mile will now be less divided. They are safer with the obstacles removed and grooming becomes a little easier not having to worry about the the hydrants.

We hope you will all enjoy the remainder of the season.

The Snowmaking Team.
