Snowmaking Update - Jan 7, 2010

Published January 7, 2010

Happy New Year to everyone. It seems we are kicking off 2010 in a very positive fashion. We have experienced accumulations of natural snow in the neighbourhood of 25 cm. The Snowmaking Team have been making snow at a furious pace. We have pumped 61 million gallons to date.

We are excited to pass along that we will have a number of additional trails ready to go. Freeloader, Tomahawk Glade, Peggy's Run, Rampage, Snow Bowl, Anaconda Alley and Wilson's Wiggle are open for this weekend. Our Grooming Team have been here since early Tuesday morning preparing the slopes. Our 1/2 Pipe will require a little more grooming preparation in order to prepare it for the pipe grinder.

We will continue to focus our immediate snowmaking efforts on Lightning and The Outer Rim and we will continue to stock pile in various areas. We will make snow on some of our thinner areas on the open trails starting Monday of next week.
