Ski Free for a Year!

We all love the Peaks and now we would love you to invite others to share in the experience of belonging to the Premier Private Club in Ontario.

For years, our Club, like the other escarpment clubs, has set a limit on the number of members we will accept. This number is based on balancing the need for new members against overwhelming the capacity of the Club. New members keep our Club fresh, vital and fiscally healthy. It is the contribution of new member's initiation fees that allow us to make investments in capital projects like Project Snow and will be a major source of revenues for future expansion of our snowmaking capabilities along with other projects.

Like any organization, we know that many of the best introductions come through referrals. We currently have room to add an additional 50 families and we want your help to fill these vacancies. As a result, the Board of Directors has launched a new "Member Get A Member" campaign titled "Ski Free for a Year".

So what is this Campaign?

  • The exciting news is that you can invite a business acquaintance, a colleague from work or a personal friend to bring their family and experience a day skiing or riding at the Peaks. Rick and his staff will arrange for your guest and their family to ski/ride for free. If they wish, they and their children will be experience a lesson at what we believe is one of the finest ski schools in North America and we will also treat them to lunch. If your guest needs to rent equipment, Rick will also arrange to introduce them to the staff at Slalom Gate.

  • Even more exciting is that if your guest should choose to join the Peaks, either first as an Annual Member and later as a Master Member, or directly, as a Master Member, you will get your members dues waived in the season that follows your guest's full membership.

You say but "The Devils in the Details":

We hope not but there are a few rules:
    1. Your guest must be a new introduction to the Club. They can not be a current Annual Member in the 2006/07 season or a past Annual Member.

    2. Only one current member can receive their free dues when a new member joins. When a guest is referred, we will track the name of the member that referred them. This member must also be the "proposer" on the guest's application form when they apply to join the Club.

    3. Your guest must agree to meet with Rick for about 30 minutes on the day they visit the Club to hear this presentation on the benefits of joining the Peaks.

    4. Your guest must make a reservation for which day they would like to come for their free day of Skiing. We want to put of best foot forward when they visit and to do so needs advance notice and planning.

    5. The Board of Directors reserves the right to change, modify, suspend or cancel this program at any time as well as make exceptions to the established program should the circumstances warrant.

    6. The free dues can not be substituted for any other reward or cash equivalent.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

       Q.    Does this program apply to both guests who wish to Ski or Snowboard?

       A.   Absolutely, yes.

       Q.    If my Guest has three children will we give them all a private ski or snowboard lesson and also do the same for the adults?

       A.   Our goal is to give them a great experience for the day they visit us. Our intent would be to provide private or semi-private lessons as appropriate and subject to instructor availability.

       Q.    My cousin wants to visit the Club and ski for free. He really isn't interested in joining. Can I invite him and his family?

       A.   No. That is not what this program is for. You can invite him and his family and either pay for guest tickets or use the tickets that you prepaid in your Guest Pass Book.

       Q.    My Guest knows many members of the Club. Who receives the free Master dues?

       A.   We will track the name of the member that originally invited the guest and that member name must also be the "proposer" named on the application when the new member joins. This member will receive the free Master Dues. Should any dispute arise between members, the decision of the Board will be considered final.

       Q.    What if I invite three guests and each joins and becomes new Master Member?

       A.   In this case, you will enjoy skiing for free (Master Member dues refunded) for the next three seasons. Congratulations.
